The Difference Between Fiberglass Oil Filter And Paper Oil Filter
1、 Materials
The fiberglass oil filter element is made of fiberglass material, which undergoes high-temperature heating and pressure treatment during the manufacturing process to enhance its high temperature resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. Paper oil filters are made of natural materials such as pulp, and their high temperature resistance and chemical corrosion resistance are inferior to fiberglass oil filters.
2、 Structure
The fiberglass oil filter is woven with high-density fiberglass, which has a larger filtration area and higher precision. The paper oil filter element is made of pulp material, with relatively small filtration area and accuracy.
3、 Filter efficiency
The fiberglass oil filter has a higher filtration efficiency and can effectively filter dust, sand, iron filings, and other fine particulate matter in the air, providing better protection for the engine. The filtering efficiency of paper oil filters is relatively low, and they cannot effectively filter out small particulate matter, thus reducing the protective effect on high-performance engines.
4、 Selection and Use
When selecting and using oil filters, it is necessary to choose according to one's actual situation. Generally speaking, fiberglass oil filters are suitable for special fields such as high-performance engines and construction machinery, while for ordinary household vehicles, paper oil filters are sufficient.
It should be noted that when replacing the oil filter element, it should be replaced according to the vehicle's usage and maintenance manual to avoid safety issues such as engine failure caused by improper use.
